What this tool does
PicActions is a prompt-based photo editor for focused changes. It sends your image and instruction to a generative image model, which produces a new image rather than editing pixels deterministically. Specific instructions such as “remove the chair on the left” work better than broad requests such as “make this better.”
How to use it
Upload, run one action, download
- 01
Upload one image
Start with a JPG, PNG, or WebP up to 10 MB. The browser prepares a smaller working copy when needed.
- 02
Describe one change
Name the object, location, color, or background to change and say what should stay untouched.
- 03
Review the new image
Use the comparison slider to check preserved details, then download the result as a PNG.
Good fit
Works best for
- Removing one distracting object and reconstructing the background
- Replacing a background while keeping the main subject recognizable
- Changing the color of a specific product, garment, or visual element
- Restoring a damaged photo or extending a scene for a new crop
Before you rely on the result
Know the limits
- AI can change details you did not request, especially text, hands, faces, logos, and fine product features.
- This is not a layered editor: you cannot move or revise individual generated elements after processing.
- Exact color, geometry, brand, and product-detail fidelity are not guaranteed.
- Requests involving sexualized minors, forged identity or financial documents, or other prohibited content are blocked.
Privacy, plainly
Your image is processed, not collected
Processing happens in the cloud. When you run an action, your prepared image and instruction are sent over HTTPS to our inference provider, fal.ai. PicActions does not write the source image, generated image, extracted text, or edit prompt to D1 or R2.
We retain operational metadata such as tool name, file size, dimensions, processing time, provider, estimated cost, success status, and download event. This lets us detect abuse and improve reliability without logging your content.
Common questions
Before you upload
How should I write an AI photo editing prompt?+
Describe one change, identify where it is, and say what must remain unchanged. For example: “Remove the red chair on the left, rebuild the white wall naturally, and keep the person unchanged.”
Is this a free AI photo editor?+
Your first action is free without an account. During launch, signed-in users receive three actions per day. The limit protects the service from automated abuse and may change with real processing costs.
Can the editor preserve a face or product exactly?+
It tries to preserve unrelated details, but generative editing can still change identity, text, logos, or product geometry. Inspect the before-and-after view before using the result commercially.
What happens to my prompt and image?+
They are sent securely to fal.ai to perform the edit. PicActions does not save the image, result, or prompt; it stores only operational metadata and the prompt length for cost, reliability, and abuse analysis.
