Direct answer

What this tool does

PicActions uses generative image editing to identify an overlaid watermark, logo, date stamp, or text mark and reconstruct the pixels behind it. Automatic detection handles clear overlays; the optional brush gives the model a precise location when the mark is small or blends into the image.

How to use it

Upload, run one action, download

  1. 01

    Upload an authorized image

Choose a JPG, PNG, or WebP up to 10 MB. You must own the image or have permission to edit it.

  2. 02

    Mark the unwanted area

Brush over the overlay for more precise guidance, or leave the image unmarked and use automatic detection.

  3. 03

    Compare and download

Check the reconstructed area with the before-and-after slider, then download the PNG result.

Good fit

Works best for

  • Removing a date stamp or camera timestamp from your own photo
  • Cleaning a logo or text overlay from marketing artwork you control
  • Repairing a small semi-transparent mark over a textured background
  • Preparing an authorized source image for reuse in a new layout

Before you rely on the result

Know the limits

  • Large overlays that cover faces or detailed objects may require another attempt or manual retouching.
  • The model reconstructs hidden pixels; it cannot recover the exact original pixels beneath an overlay.
  • Do not remove copyright or ownership marks from stock previews or content you are not authorized to edit.
  • Very small text or complex repeated patterns can produce imperfect fills. Always inspect the result before publishing.

Privacy, plainly

Your image is processed, not collected

Processing happens in the cloud. When you run an action, your prepared image and instruction are sent over HTTPS to our inference provider, fal.ai. PicActions does not write the source image, generated image, extracted text, or edit prompt to D1 or R2.

We retain operational metadata such as tool name, file size, dimensions, processing time, provider, estimated cost, success status, and download event. This lets us detect abuse and improve reliability without logging your content.

Common questions

Before you upload

Is the AI watermark remover free?+

You can run one free action without an account. Signed-in users receive three daily actions during the launch period. Limits may change as we measure inference cost and abuse.

Can I remove a watermark from a stock-photo preview?+

No. PicActions is only for images you own or are authorized to edit. Buy or license the original asset from the rights holder instead of removing an ownership mark.

Does PicActions store my image?+

PicActions does not save source or result files in its databases or object storage. The prepared image is sent over HTTPS to fal.ai for inference. We keep only operational metadata such as dimensions, processing time, cost, and status.

Why should I mark the watermark area?+

Automatic detection works for obvious overlays. Marking the area helps when a watermark is small, low contrast, or near other text that should remain unchanged.
